Loss of 3x signal

I have an issue. Approximately 30 minutes to an hour into driving my 94 camaro the stock computer throws a trouble code (Intermittent Ignition Signal & Loss of 3xREf) and the tranny goes into limp mode not shifting out of 1st. I doubled over all the wiring and it looks good.

I haven't replaced either ignition sensor yet, they are the originals. While I know this would be the logical yet not exactly easy thing to do is there any better way to test the sensors. The car starts and runs fine otherwise. Megatune shows good signal all the way through. I heard somewhere that weak sensors fail when heated up?

I have been running new msd coils for 5 years now, could a bed coil be causing this to happen since all of the wiring looks good for MS? This issue never began happening until after I began controlling spark.

Any help would be appreciated.

Is the 3X signal shared between the stock ECU and the MegaSquirt?

Before you were controlling spark, was the MegaSquirt getting its RPM input from a different source or was it wired the same way it is now?
