Accel issue

There are a few strange things which i don't understand. The issue is about the accelenrichment, non x-tau.

First, TPSDot gives very high values, like 20.000. I cant make a right accel configuration, even when i use this high values (%/s rate, according to the datalog). Even when i don't want to let it kick in, in does, even when i go to the max that is allowed. It doesn't matter how i change the values, the bar in the accel config still doesn't look good. The threshold isn't working, because the max allowed is 255 %/s. When i set the injection time (ms) at all rates to 0 i feel the difference while driving (accel don't work now).

The next strange thing is, I've got noise on my Mapdot. It give spikes like 80.000 or something. How can i have noise on a sensor thats inside the mega squirt computer?

I have a MS2 v3 board, and use code 2.89, still with megatune. I have attached the msq and the last datalog (accelenrichment 0 ms at all ratings).

Janse,

You can have electrical noise on the MAP signal if the grounds aren't good. This can also affect the TPS.

Besides checking the grounds, I would also make sure that the MAP sensor is well soldered, and that the board has been thoroughly cleaned of any residual flux (using 99% isopropyl alcohol).

It's not impossible for high current, low impedance injectors to cause noise either, if the PWM% are set too high.

There is more on curing noise issues here: http://www.bgsoflex.com/megameet2008/me ... gnding.pdf

However, this can also be cause in the log by comms issues (anything from a corrupt INI to a USB adapter cable that is picking up electrical signal). A typical sign of this is that other values (like Gve in your log) go crazy as well. However, comms issues won't cause excess accel enrichment, they just show as unusual values in the log. You could check by enabling the accel enrichments and seeing if the PW also spikes when MAPdot does.

Lance.

Still got some issues.

Most problems are gone. The spikes on the Map was caused by the Usb adapter, i did some test with my old laptop with an rs232 port on it. I also made a misstep on the wiring; I switched two gnd wires, the sensor gnd and one of the engine gnds.

What i couldn't fixed is the high TPSDot value (But it is much better, no spikes and more stable). The values are now max 2000. How can the high values be possible?

I've started all over with the software. I uninstalled megatune and deleted all folders and files. I use now Tunerstudio with 2.905 code. I have made an entire new MSQ file, changed the values by hand from my old laptop. I have high impedance (ford) injectors. I also changed the wiring a bit, the sensor grnd from the MS runs to an grnd spot on the engine near the TPS. Also the TPS and the Temp sensors (two wire sensors) runs to this spot.

What else could cause the high values on TPSDot? I have attached the new MSQ and a datalog file.
