Blowing 2A MS Fuse

Hello, im new to the forum, as im putting MS1 V3 in my VW type 4 beetle. I don't have a stim, but im trying to install the ecu now, and i have most of the wiring done. My relay/fuse box is finished along with the power and grounds to the MS ecu. Everytime i switch to ignition the 2A fuse that sends 12v to pin 28, blows out. I dont have the injectors or an idle solenoid wired up, but it seems to be an internal MS problem. With the ecu disconnected the fuse does not pop.
Ive tried switching to all nylon screws on the heatsink, which did nothing.
Alittle bit of backround: Today after problem arised i noticed i accidentally sent power to the fuel pump ground control, pin 37. Also i found that i was missing C22 off the PCB, so i put that on. After sorting out these issues, nothing has changed. Anything else i should try? Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Roach

Fault finding without a stim is tricky. I'd say the likely cause is you've made a mistake with the wiring. Easily done. :D
A breakout board can be useful too - allows you to disconnect each and every individual feed for testing. You could, of course, simply unsolder every circuit at the D37 apart from the power and grounds then replace one by one until the fuse blows.

Thanks for the reply,
Ive actually sorted that issue out and found another. The fuse issue was a couple of shorts by over tightening the nylon screws over the mica insulators causing the tabs to bend down and touch the heatsink. After that was corrected, the led came on for a second then went out, which i believe is correct function.

The new issue is using a USB adapter for serial communication. I got my adapter from DIYAutoTune, and ive set the comport, baud, flow, and data bits, installed the driver and ran through hyperlink. I cannot get an echo on hyperlink, and i get no response in Megatune when i test the connection. I will try tinkering with it more tomorrow, but its time to get a little sleep.
