Dodge/Jeep 3.8 Coil

Post by sword181 »

I am converting a 2011 Jeep 3.8 to EDIS 6 and would like to use the Jeep coil. Is this posible? It looks like a wasted spark but I have been unable to find any info on it.
If I can use it where can I find a pinout on it. It has 3 pins. I will not be able to use the Jeep crank shaft position on the flexplate, because I have to cut off the shutter for
torque converter mounting. I am using a GM 700R4.

I have seen mid '90s Chrysler V6 coils successfully used with EDIS but I'm not sure on the later designs.
