Is it possible to use it instead of the megaview? If so how is it connected and programmed?

That is just a alphanumeric display. You have to send specific characters to the display in order for it to work right. You would have to reprogram a MS controller to talk to the device.

Looks like you might be able to use it on a MegaView but would need to reprogram the CPU for it.
