EDIS-6 donor vehicles (USA)?
EDIS-6 donor vehicles (USA)?
In searching this forum, I see that 91-95 Explorers used EDIS-6. What other vehicles and model years use the same?
Also, I've read that some use a flywheel VR sensor - would this same sensor be suitable for a typical crank pulley type trigger wheel? Ideally, if anyone knows of a vehicle that used EDIS-6 with a crank trigger, that would be ideal. Oh, and location advise as to where the thing is tucked away would be a bonus.
Thanks for the help!

What about Rangers? Didn't they share a lot of drivetrain bits with Explorers?

Here's a link that may help.

As you can see they are not terribly expensive. It might be worth it to buy one new rather than searching the wrecking yards.

That link, of course, is just for the EDIS6 coil, but the link is still useful to find which vehicles used EDIS6.
Apologies for not making that clear in my reply.
