Ok, so I've got my car running and driving but it's time to bring the tune to the next level because it certainly could be smoother than it is currently. I have megalog viewer and I've made some logs but I have NO IDEA what to do with them. I'd like to read up on it so that I can use it correctly. I didn't see any links to a manual that walk me through its proper use. Any advice?

It sounds like your question isn't really about how to use MegaLogViewer, but what does all the data mean and how to tune.

Start with the tuning manual:

Thanks. I've been through that document many times, its how I've gone from not even knowing what Megasquirt was to building my ECU getting my car on the road. I was hoping that someone knew of an existing thread or weite up that steps through some of the basics on how to interpret the most essential data from the log, and some basics processes for making incremental changes to the tune based on their experience when they first stated using the logs to make additional changes. The logs give a lot of information, I was just looking for a write up that steps through the basic features of Megalog Viewer.

There are several help sections under the help menu that are specific to MegalogViewer.
The core purpose and features of MegaLogViewer are to read log files and display the information visually. It then has many additional features for creating your own custom fields and formulas based on data available in the logs and VE Analyze to do auto tune work.

However, it should be understood the meaning of the fields are not really part of MegaLogViewer. It is really defined by the firmware that the log came from. MegaLogViewer is used with dozens of firmwares & controllers, some have very different field naming and field naming. So you really need to use the documentation that matches your firmware. Lance has pulled together a lot of documentation for MSII B&G firmware and that is really what needs to be referenced.

If you have a more specific question, it would be easier to help.
