Can Megasquirt control GM CSFI via batch fire?
Can Megasquirt control GM CSFI via batch fire?
I'm looking at using it in an 88 Runner. I want to megasquirt it - for the tuning/control and maybe for use with a little 100k rpm power adder.
Here's what I don't know. 1997 W-Code 4.3L have CSFI. They've got the spider manifold with poppets. The poppets are apparently controlled by solenoids.
I see conversions for CSFI to MPFI:http://www.fuelinjector.citymaker.com/V ... rsion.html
These conversions obviously resolve the leaking poppet issue that is common on these motors.. As they appear to be GM-computer compatible, this makes me think that I can treat them like normal injectors (high/low impedance)
Can anyone confirm that megasquirt has been used successfully with CSFI? I've searched here and many other places with some indications of people thinking about it, but no actual success...
An alternative would be to use a marine vortec manifold, where I get my exposed injectors... But then I'm adding another $500 to the motor.
