General MS manual questions

Hi folks.

I have a Dodge Dart, now mild 318 (headers, cam, auto, 3.89 gear), currently running aged Holley Commander 950. Have been looking at MS and thinking, reading more about these systems. Currently system is TBI, but I have parts for MPI and hope to convert to that. Have not decided whether to use spark control or not, currently am not with the Holley. I do have an Innovate WB setup in the car.

One big concern is that when (if) I get an MS system going, and am in the midst of trying to tune it.............

How the heck can I save your manuals, which seem to all be in HTML web pages with many many imbedded links? I'm not going to have internet access "out there" on the road. I KNOW that there will be times I'll have to deal with questions when tuning.

Other than trying to print or save individual web pages?

OS here "can" be Linux MInt, W7 or XP

The MS3-Pro has a PDF manual, but it is the exception. There's a couple utilities out there that can grab complete websites. I haven't used them myself; maybe someone with more experience can chime in on which ones work best.

When you have the MS installed and working well, you probably won't need any of the embedded links. Just the plain tuning info. Much of which is initial set only anyway. For fine tuning on the road, you can print out just what you need - that is easy with FireFox. Dunno about other browsers.

Thanks for the response. I guess I'll just have to same webpages "offline" as needed. This may be awhile until this project gets under way.

How much would you expect to pay for a pro printed manual? $25? Wouldn't cost that to print one out - especially on a laser printer.

I don't believe you understand the problem. The "manual" seems to exist scattered around the web in html pages, with many many redirect links. There is no "one source" to print out that I can find. I'm not complaining about the cost of printing, here. Since I know nothing about editing HTML, I don't know how to turn these into 1 printing job.

Print out the section you want. Look at any links in the text and see if you think you'll need them - if so print out and add to your printed out doc. But perhaps most of them are just extra information you'll likely not need on the road.
