EDIS - Which spark plugs

Hello,
I just want to check what I have read in differnet places.
If my car orginal used NGK BP5ES plugs when I switch to using EDIS I should swap the plugs to NGK BPR5ES.
Have I understood correctly? Also what gap should I use on the plugs.

FWIW......
When I was running EDIS I started with non resistor plugs and wires. That experience was not good!
I switched to resistors on both and essentially eliminate those problems. I would suggest the same for any EDIS installations!
Just my experience though..............

what was your experience with non resistors? i ask because i am un able to break 5500 rpm on an engine the should go nearly 7000.
I am curious if there if the plug resistance coould cause this.

It's generally accepted you use resistor plugs with EDIS - assuming EDIS spec plug leads.
There have been comments that EDIS can limit the revs - but on mine it's somewhat above the 6100 rpm limit of my RV8. However, if it were limiting things I'd guess the trigger logger etc would show it? Or things losing sync?
Also. which tach input are you using? The latest idea seems to use the VR one for EDIS rather than the opto.
