tuning help please...

Ok I've posted a number of times and always seemed to run into some issue not related to megasquirt but with my car.

So here are the specs
MS2 3.57 board
LC-1Wideband
high impedance injectors
Ford EDIS 6 coil pack, module, and VR sensor with trigger wheel
1981 DeLorean, 5-speed
Engine swapped with an EFI ready 3.0 PRV6 ( Eagle Premier).
Using all the stock sensors that were on the motor, all GM sensors.

I've been using TunerStudio as well, free version.

I had the car tuned professionally by a friend of a friend. but it was only to get some bugs out so that I could get it back and forth to the shop to work on other areas.
I will upload a few datalogs as well as my MSQ.
I know I don't have the latest version of MS software but it wont let me update it.

So for the issues
Over all the car runs great once warmed up during inner city, urban driving. Does ok on the highway at first. However around 5000k it apparently begins to missfire. once it passes 5500 it works itself out and runs fine again. I never push my car that much,so as of now I don't have that in a datalog.

What I have run into while driving:
1.During first start up the car starts just fine, so long as the motor is under 90degrees. for some reason above that it doesn't want to start unless its cranked a bunch! and once it catches it runs just fine, unless at 120 degree, then it doesn't want to hold an idle. Guessing afterstart enrichment?
If I shut the car down and try to start it, it usually starts right up... once in awhile it won't. datalog "start" all display starting issues. I just can't remember which one it is, which ever it will have the shortest time.

2.During cruising, around 2500RPM in 2nd and 3rd the engine seems to bog down. I caught it doing it on the datalog "start4"
It seems to do it more often once I get off the highway.

3.my idle seems to "search" after sitting for a bit as well.

4.Once the cooling fans kick on, around 215 degress. the ilde drops very low. from about 900RPM to 600 or slower at times, nearly stalls.
Any ideas how to fix this?

Thanks in advance!
I will be better with responding this time as I now I have most of the bugs worked out.
The fuel pressure has to be tested as well this week. Some other DeLorean ownes suggested I start there with the no start problem.

Thanks again,
Darryl.

I have a much larger datalog as well. Only about 10min worth of driving, but it won't let me upload it. Email me if you would like, maybe that way I can send it?
MYDMC5898@yahoo.com

I can make more logs as well.
just have to find a co-pilot

I'll need a data log of this to tell what's going on.

Either that or cranking pulse width.

I'm seeing intermittent misfires; no apparent cause in the log.
3.my idle seems to "search" after sitting for a bit as well.
We have some tuning tips here:

4.Once the cooling fans kick on, around 215 degress. the ilde drops very low. from about 900RPM to 600 or slower at times, nearly stalls.
Does the AFR change? If so, adjust battery voltage compensation.

Car is in now to get a new axle seal installed.
Once it's out I was going to make a new datalog for the higher rpm.
Could a fuel pressure issue be helping cause misfires?

I'm wondering if the misfires are an issue with the idle as well.
If it doesn't look to be in the datalogs, that means its mechanical or related to the EDIS?
Where would I start to diagnose that?

As for the starting issues, should I raise or lower my pulse width to try and start it?
I've tried both, low and up. But it doesn't seem to make a diffearnace. It seems to start when it wants too.
It's very frustrating lol.

I did find a loose ground, and reattached it. However it still seems to drive the same way.

As for the voltage or AFR. I haven't noticed. I will make a datalog of that as well too.

Thanks!
-Darryl

Hmmm I just realized how broad that question is about the misfire.
I guess from a tuning POV is there a specific area to check first?
Such as the Edis?
We are going to check the pressure of the fuel and compression later.
We pulled the spark plugs and they were good as well.
