Firstly, I'd like to say it's been just over a year now since I first fired up my MS'ed 1961 Holden, and it's been an absolute hoot
Anyhow...
I have a theory regarding determining the true opening time for my injectors. So far, all I've read that this is a "Best Guess" setting, usually condidered around 1mS at 13.2 volts. (Please correct me if I'm missing something)
So, I figured could it be as simple as to get the motor running at a constant state, say 2000 rpm at no load, and switching between 2 squirts per and 1 squirt per cycle. Doubling the pulsewidth and conversely halving the cycles leaves us with the only constant masked off being injector open time. So, say if the EGO reading drops when the pulses are doubled, then the opening time may be a bit long. From here its just a case of fiddling with the opening time until the EGO remains unchanged when switching between Two and One squirts per cycle.
Does that theory hold water?
