I thought i read this symptom on the forum here but couldn't find it now that it has happened to me, i have already read the manual, and the trouble shooting page but coming up empty handed, so is there a test to make sure my soldering is good and the circuit is right so i can move on, my rpm doesn't articulate when i turn the pot on the stim, so therefore neither does the o2, the TPS does, the CLT does and the IAT does but the RPM doesn't move, I am on test 55 I have continuity tested my jumpers for XG1 to XG2 as well as OPTOIN toTACHSELECT and TSEL to OPTOUT as well as D1 all good I have the MSII with a V3 board and need the hall effect sensor and I have cont thank you but

Which stim? What are the settings on it? Is D2 present or jumpered?

stim 2.2, left D2 alone, but did try with a make shift jumper out of a bent lead nothing changed

update, solder jumpered D2,just incase, no change, the O2 does work as tesed by moving the POT while unplugged to see if a change, does change, RPM is only thing I haven't seen move,,

thmpson70,

You might want to check some of the tips here: http://www.megamanual.com/ms2/V3trouble.htm especially numbers 0, 1, 2, 4, 5, 10.

Lance.

thanks for everyones assisstance, I got it, and for other newby's that see this , in my case it was the switch on the stim, behind the rpm pot, it was on the wrong setting, check that it is on the right one in my case it was pnp, not npn ,, Timmy

Which reminds me - in the manual I can only find links to the V2.1 Stim - not the V2.2 with this NPN/PNP switch.
