v2.2 pcb; did work just fine then nothing;
For some reason - it just died on me. No comms, no lights, no .. nothing.
So - I pulled out the ol' Megamanual and looked at the troubleshooting steps for checking 232 comms (good to pins 12-13 on the 40-pin socket btw). Echoes just fine so it's not the 232. but with the processor in place - it's not giving a clock countback, it's not showing any activity and the U5 transistor is getting blazingly hot just on short power-up (within seconds it's much too hot to the touch).
Any ideas folks? I'd like to try to get this resolved by this weekend if it's not too late.
Regards,
Justin

BTW - I don't know if you remember me or not - Justin Sibit. Probetalk.com forums member that put the boosted KLZE into a PRotege5 wagon.

In TS, with the cpu in place, I've got the mini terminal up and listening - it's flooding the screen with the following message:
--- BREAK RECEIVED ---
--- BREAK RECEIVED ---
--- BREAK RECEIVED ---
--- BREAK RECEIVED ---
--- BREAK RECEIVED ---
This goes on into infinum.....
