Thinking of getting the QStarz BT-Q818XT GPS receiver but one question...

For discussing Phil Tobin's TunerStudio MS is the MegaSquirt edition of TunerStudio, a next generation tuning application. It provides the ability to configure and tune all MegaSquirt controllers and is 100% compatible with MegaTune ini files and msq's.

Thinking of getting the QStarz BT-Q818XT GPS receiver but one question...

Post by TTZephyr »

I've read you can Bluetooth both the GPS receiver and your MS ECU to a pc/laptop/tablet but in my case I have an MS2PNP which uses a 3.5mm (or 2.5?) stereo jack for connectivity.

Is it possible to Bluetooth the GPS to my windows 10 tablet and have the MS2PNP plugged in via cable and be able to receive the GPS data? :?

Yes. On android Shadow Dash opens a separate Bluetooth connection to the BT-Q818XT, even if connecting to the MegaSquirt via Bluetooth.

On Windows, you will have a separate Com Port for the BT-Q818XT whether you are connecting to it over BT or over USB, TS will open a separate connection for the GPS and to the PNP.
