MAF for 2 liter Alfa Spider

I'm planning to replace the Bosch Motronic EFI on my Alfa Spider after the engine is rebuilt. I'm looking suggestions on which MAF to use. The engine's maximum power will not exceed 200 hp and most likely will be between 160-180 hp. Maximum RPM will be 7500 rpm. The MAFs mentioned in the manual are for larger engines (5L or greater). I'm assuming that a properly sized MAF will provide better data.
How does one correlate a MAF's output with airflow?
Thanks!

The easy answer is you don't actually need an AFM with MegaSquirt. It can use a combination of TPS position and engine vacuum to determine engine load.

Can Megasquirt compute the actual air mass by using the throttle position and engine vacuum? I though a MAF provided a better measure of air mass.
If a MAF wasn't necessary, why would car manufacturers have them?
Even if I don't need a MAF with Megasquirt, I still would like to know which MAF sensors would provide an accurate, high resolution measure of air mass.
