Its the way the prolific USB driver is written. Any disruption to the Serial port connection, and it goes nuts and crashes. You would have to write a new driver to fix it. I have the same issue on my Win7 ASUS. Good thing it boots ridiculously fast.

I cleaned them, but I should just replace them to be sure. They were pretty nasty. I feel like my VE table was close if not right, so I should have gotten it to at least idle so I could know what to change.

No EDIS Spark

Im running MSII with EDIS, Coil on Plug from a 4.6 Ford. I wired them in series, I have VR signal, and I cant find anything wrong with the EDIS hook up. EDIS is set in ignition settings, I have the timing set to 10 deg for now, But I cant get any spark out of it. Any ideas where to start?

Ok well Im using MSII and thats what I put in. Maybe I did something wrong. Im trying again friday, so Ill be back to let you know how it goes.

Thanks man. I was positive I put in the ECU type though. It wants MSI or MSII right? I inserted MSII. Ill go through it again though, and report back. I really appreciate this.

Ok, I have My MS-II built, and wired. I have power to the ECU, and everything works on the stim. Im running EDIS-4 with coil-on-plug. I do not have any spark.
