Downloading Megasquirt files

I've downloaded some Mega files from the net, but one of them is asking for $29.95 thru PayPal. Are all the files shown nessessary, especially the one I have to pay for? The one mentioned here is TunerStudio MS Registered Edition. Thank you, Bill

O2 sensor on a turbocharged motor

I've built the exhaust system for my old V8. It has one exhaust system for each bank. It will be turbocharged. Do I need to put the O2 sensor before or after the turbo? Since each side of the engine will have the exhaust seperate from each other, do I need an O2 sensor for each side? Thank you, Bill

Re: MSD and coil resistor

Not if your coil is compatible with the MSD 6.
Thank you. I'll have to contact Joe Hunt and see what it requires. It is inside the mag housing and looks more like a lawn mower coil than one from a car. I don't want to fry since I'm sure it is very expensive. The mag itself cost over $700.00 and ...

Thank you so much. Bill

MSD and coil resistor

Will I need to use a resistor to the coil if I am running the MSD 6A 6200 unit? Is the resistor nessessary anywhere in this system since no points will be used? Thank you, Bill :?

Driving a coil with MSD

:? I am building an older V8 with a Megasquirt 2-V3. The ignition is a Joe Hunt magnetoe that was converted at the factory to a Pertronics ignition system. It has an internal coil but no magneto. It requires an external resistor. I took out the Pertonics module and am running just the coil in the ...

Re: E85 Conversion

Will the O2 sensor automatically adjust the system to run E85 or will the ratio have to be manually changed by the operator? I know that on my Flex Fuel van it is automatic.

Downloading Megasquirt software

I have the MS 11 V3 computer for my older V8 engine. I made a crank trigger wheel with a sensor frm a Mercury. It is a 32-1 wheel. :?: It will be turbocharged. It has a throttle body from a Ford and will be using a coil drven by an MSD 6A 6200 box. The MS system will determine the spark advance and ...
