A crank trigger can work underwater. You should see some of the shots of what the Land Rover guys are doing with crank triggered EDIS ignitions. You'd need to fabricate up a crank trigger and sensor if you go that route. We carry trigger wheels and sensors, but you'll need to find a way to mount the wheel and fab up a sensor bracket. I don't want to go the route cause this is for a 4x4 montero and it is going to see alot of mud and water ...

I used all the stock civic sensors and the map thats in the megasquirt 2 v3. I run fuel and timing and have turboed the engine

I used megasquirt 2 version 3 on my civic using the stock sensors and distributor. I have a zc dohc with 13 psi megasquirt is perfect for this application
