Re: Tps will not stay calibrated!!!

Yes using a dvm and it is an e36 variable tps which has been used on e30 setups countless times so I know they are able to work. I am going to try another tps and see what I get I think the part is worn or is loose inside. Voltage increases and decreases very smoothly still though.

Re: Tps will not stay calibrated!!!

I take that back. I am getting ~2.41v at closed throttle and 3.37v open. The weird thing is I could see the voltage decreasing as it sat there closed. It started off at 2.5v and slowly decreased and ended up settling at 2.41v until I moved the throttle some then it went down to 2.37v. AGH sounds ...

Re: Tps will not stay calibrated!!!

Interesting...when i probed them last time i was receiving around 0.3v to 1.5v or something along those lines when moving the throttle from open to close. I will have to check again to make sure

Re: Tps will not stay calibrated!!!

I checked with a DVM by probing at the signal and ground at the tps and moving the throttle. It seemed smooth but I'm not sure what readings I should be getting or even if that matters as long as it is smooth. the 5v always reads fine I just know something is whacky since the ad counts are no where ...

Re: Tps will not stay calibrated!!!

I don't currently have a stim readily available to check with. I have tried every wire combination just in case (only 6 ways of variation) but I know the wiring is correct but still have a decreasing adc count. Could a battery that is losing power when the car is sitting in the on position cause ...

Tps will not stay calibrated!!!

Ms2 v3.57
Im currently going insane trying to figure out why I cannot seem to maintain a stable tps signal. I've had the problem for a while and chose to ignore it but I just can't anymore. At first it was real jumpy but I've fixed the ground and ran it to the sensor ground on pin 7 and it cleared ...

Re: Ms2 pot adjustment

http://www.megamanual.com/connect.htm
it says here that the correct response for boot loader mode is for the leds to flash then go back out when the ms is powered up, which is what it is doing. Or is that just when its on the sim? Just cant get it out of boot loader mode now since it doesn't that ...

Re: Ms2 pot adjustment

I can reload the code if I have too but how do I get it out of the boot mode? Ive flipped the h1boot back to where I found it but its still in boot mode because when I turn the key on the 3 lights come on for a split second and then turn off.

Re: Ms2 pot adjustment

Alright Ill fess up...I accidentally flipped the h1 boot, didn't know what it was at the time so I just flipped it back. Not sure exactly what is does but reprograms the cpu? do I need to put the firmware back on there or something? Did I mess it up pretty good? as you can see I'm a noob but ill get ...

Ms2 pot adjustment

So i have a ms2 v3.57 on my e30 m20 and had it running but it would break up right around 1900rpm if i held it there but i could rev past it and it would be steady throughout the rest of the rpm range. I have a resistor inline with the crank signal wire which I needed in order to get past the ...
