Newbie (with a big question)

Hi All
bit of a newbie to all this Megasquirt so please be gentle :?
any way ive looked just about every where to try and find info but ive drawn a blank so if you can help it would be soooooo helpful

i currently compete in offroad winch challenges and just killed my 8v vitara engine so the work has started for the 2010 season.
we have just bought a Grand Vitara 2.0 ltr engine and bits loom etc but have no key to go with the coded ecu so i think its time to get megasquirt but i dnt know what system i need and where to get it from as i cant find nothing about them now if iwas putting a v8 in i would be happy as a pig in you know what as ive found so much info

so what next

There's a couple ways you can go about this. The easiest way to make an unknown motor work on MegaSquirt would be to slap a Ford EDIS ignition on it:

Lots of Land Rover guys seem to like EDIS for its ability to work in flooded or nearly buried engine compartments.

The other approach would be to examine the trigger wheels and sensors on the engine that are already there, and find a code version that works with these sensors.
