There are any number of possibilities for a SBC. My first MS project was a TPI setup with HEI using MSII v3.0 and B&G code on my 79 Corvette. Before I moved on to my current project (in my signature) I was getting 26 mpg.

I have a couple of pics of my TPI project at : http://www.kandlservices.com/tpi

Good luck!

Pretty much. With a 4 pin HEI module, the distributor advance mechanism would control timing; with a 7 or 8 pin HEI, the MS2 will have no problem controlling timing. We have a series of articles on converting a 350 from carbs to EFI - first with just a TBI swap, then with a TBI and ignition control, and finally stepping up to multi-port using a Stealth Ram.

That was with a 3.55:1 rear end and TH700R4 transmission (.7:1overdrive)

The relay board is optional, although it makes wiring a bit easier. We often use it when wiring up a car not originally wired for EFI, but you can also use a conventional fuse block or find some sort of relay module in a junkyard. Your call.

IMHO many faults are in the loom. Either actual wiring or connections. The stim can eliminate the MS as being the problem. I found a breakout box even more useful - allows you to actually check loom wiring easily. Or use a DB37 connector with tails for this as a cheaper option.

As long as you lock out the advance mechanism. Where I live, you can find oodles of 7 pin distributors for $20 each at the you-pull-it junkyards - look for TBI pickups and vans.

I have 2 of the 7 pin variants around the house and would be willing to let one go. I went edis instead.

Yes, I did for a traditional Pontiac engine where there are no EFI traditional Pontiac engines. How ever there are EFI versions of the sbc. visit a local Pick a part yard and look for an EFI version of a sbc engine.

You can also use the TPI version, which does have a coil-in-cap setup.
