Megasquirt LPG on small block 350 with carb

Post by kikkegek »

hi guys,

I own a 1986 Chevrolet K20 Suburban with a 350 small block.

Currently it is fitted with as bi-fuel system for regular gas but also LPG.

Basic setup is a 4 barrel Quadrajet MV (for gas) and fitted on top is a IMPCO 300A mixer, that gets its LPG from a IMPCO 50&70 evaporator.

here are some pics:

I now get a MPG of about 9 and somebody told me I would be able to improve that if I would fit my engine with a Megasquirt. He said I needed to fit my car with Megasquirt and "LPG vapor gas injectors"? does it make aany sense.

I know my way around my current setup, but have absolutely no clue on MS systems.

please advise...

note: I want to keep my car bi-fuel. So lpg AND gasoline

what would I need to fit my engine (now with carb) to run on Megasquirt and LPG?

Would the MS be controlling the gas, LPG, or both?
