throttle plate idle control

Dear All
I am having problems balancing my throttle plates (4) when setting tickover, the system in place (kawasaki gpz750T throttle bodies) has adjuster screws on the interacting arms (which have had to be extended), not the best idea. After finding condensation on the balance pipe the tickover setting had gone out again....
After thinking about it I would like to drill the throttle plates with idle air holes so that I can then leave them fully closed,my problem now is what diameter holes?
I have purchased a set of mini drills and micro tapered reamers so as to be able to adjust the holes slightly....maybe best to start off with the smallest and gently increase?

Any thoughts/ideas?
Thanks
John :)

P.S. 1680cc 4-cylinder four stroke

P.P.S. This could also explain my problems starting, erratic idling and having to play around with the cranking pulsewidths

Hi John,
keith (type26owner) from lotuselan.net mucked about with this sort of thing for balancing his webers..
his experience seemed to be positive, althought it involved a lot of fiddling about!
Cheers
Tim
