EDIS pin2 pulse?

Hey everybody,

I'm using MSII v3, 2.886 code, relay board and EDIS4.

I'm not running on edis yet, but that doesn't really matter, it's piggybacking right now.

I've recently converted to LPG, and this involves using a timing relay, which should cut off my LPG valves after 1,5sec when it doesn't receive a pulse (from the ignition).

My MS pcb doesn't have a working FP circuit anymore... seems to be shorted after some of my excellent ( ) soldering skills and not usable anymore.
The guy from who I bought the relay told me to connect the pulse lip to the ground of my ignition coil. I guess there's a pulsed 12V on that. But I don't want to use stock ignition because I'll ditch all that stuff when it's time to run on edis.
Have to get the pulse signal from another spot, so since I'll drop my stock ignition (hall sensor, distributor, coil) I thought edis would be the right option.

on that pin2 wire:
0.1V when ignition is turned off.
0.8V when ignition is turned on.
0.9V when car's actually running.

Can't tell if it's a pulse or not, but I'm sure that 0.9 volts won't be enough to trigger the relay.
The question is: are these readings normal? Is pin2 giving this little output? I'm quite sure it pulses...at least, it should.

Also I need to build some kind of tach interface... would be fun if I could solve both problems in one go... but it's not necessary. The tacho is a VDO type out of a porsche 924. Can't give any specs.

Maybe I can use a transistor which is triggered by pin2 and puts a pulsing 12V on my relay..

Pin2 should be the IDM signal. Connected a wire to that relay.

Pin #2 and #11 should both produce a 12v pulse signal. When your gas relay was pulsed by the neg coil side then a 12v pulse won't work. Usally there's a big input resistor to lower the voltage comming from the coil neg. You can by pass it with a lower value.
For the tacho to work with either pin 2 or 11 you have to mod the tacho to accept a 12v signal. Some tacho's will work with low voltage. You can try this with a normal 12v transformer. Connect it to the tacho and see if it reads 1500rpm (50hz).
