Hello,

i am from munich/germany.
my name is ernst and i am very related to motor-cycles. therefore i own 6, only brand moto guzzi.
but only two fitted with injection.
till beginning 90th i work in service for radio and tv. then i changed into edp. actual i try to make people happy with my programs.

on basic of a motoguzzi 750 engine with 4-valve heads and carburators i plan, to rebuild it with 820ccm/4 valve heads and injection.
injection-modules will be taken from moto guzzi breva 750 ie.
i own complete engine, injection modules ( 2 times, 36 mm diameter with injectores, right side with TPI ), ignition ( coils ) and fuel-pump.
MAP for air intake and a temperature sensor at cylinder head ( no water cooling ) is also available.
lambda will be fitted into each exhaust-pipe, bau only for tuning setup. afterwards only one lambda will be mounted on exhaust-collector at end of pipes ( reason is not available space ).

after reading many informations about stock ecu i decided to use a MS for steering ignition and injectors.
now i have read many from german MS, from US-site and on http://www.extraefi.co.uk . i found sometimes links at intrested points, but they dead.
so i have many information but no answer for my elementary questions.

sometimes i found relation to guzzi. grippo wrote something about odd-fire and announced some new code.

now i am missing some concret information how i can determine hardware for my specific request.
i guess that MegaSquirt-II V3 is correct. maybe....
maybe i need another hardware for testing ...

i hope that somebody can help me !!!

best regards
ernst

Hi Ernst,

I think the best thing you can do is to just buy a MS and go on.
Then you will walk into problems but you can then try to solve them here.

I don't know if the MS-II v3 is good enough for this but I will guess so because there are other bikes with MS.

Good luck!

If you're buying a ready to run ECU, a MicroSquirt may be your best bet, as it's optimized for motorcycles and similar applications. It is possible, but a bit trickier, to set up an MS2 V3.0 to have the same capabilities.

I would second the Microsquirt recomendation.

1. It is small. Making it great for a bike
2. It is packaged in a weather resistant (not weather proof) case that uses ampseal connectors that are much better at with standing the elements than the DB37 can.

Best of luck.
