relayboard SP3/SP4

I'm probably blind, but i cant seem to find what the SP3 and SP4 on the relay board (pins #5 and #6 on the DB37) are for.

No, it's not listed anywhere, as by default they are not "for" anything. These are simply left available for user created modifications.

Note that our current relay board cable does not use pins 3 through 6.

If you want to use SP1-4 in conjuction with the relay board you can route them from db37 pins 3-6 on the MS end to pins 15-18 on the relay board end.

If you're relay board cable has 5 or more gruonds on other pins you will be ok to cut the traces underneath the db37 connector on the bottom of the relay board to liberate these pins from the large ground trace and eachother. Use a multimeter to verify that the traces are completely cut (use a small file). You can then solder jumper wires to the pins underneath the board and route them where ever you please. I used nail polish to cover the cuts but conformal coating would be better.

I came up with this to run my 12v injector flyback dumps from the tranistors inside the ms to my injector 12v block on the relay board without needing to run seperate wires outside my relay cable. I doubt I'm the first person to think of this though...
