Alternate wire gauge for sensors/relay board cable

I'm preparing to wire the relay board to my MS1V3 and the sensors to the relay board. I have a TON of high quality 16 gauge automotive wire from junkyard scavenging.

The question is: Can I use the 16 gauge for the applications in the manual that say to use 18/20 gauge? My electronics knowledge (just enough to be dangerous) says that going slightly larger shouldn't be an issue, but for small signals I know that's not necessarily true.

I wouldn't expect any problems.

Only practical problem might be fitting the connectors to oversized cable. Assuming you are doing it properly and crimping on new terminals.
