My vehicle has a 4 wire crank angle sensor, 2 of these are signal wires. How do i wire this to Megasquirt? what type of sensor is it? it uses a reluctor built into the harmonic balancer.

Chances are if there's two signal wires, they aren't the same signal. What sort of motor is this?

i figured it out. signal 1 is an 18 tooth hall effect signal.
signal 2 is a 3 tooth (uneven spacing) hall effect signal.
the motor is a holden 3.8litre ecotec V6 (variant of the buick 3.8litre V6)

Probably easier to use an external DIS module. On US market Buick V6s, the module works a lot like a HEI ignition.

Attached is a wiring diagram of the module. how should i wire this to MS? i do not understand how the EST and bypass signals work. or the Crank shaft reference signal.

This may clear it up:

The Buick DIS module has a couple extra signals, but you probably don't need them.
