Relay board mount and protection

I have a question about weather/water resistance for the relay board. I am getting items collected to MS my 85 Mustang with a TBI setup. This car gets driven A LOT...sometimes it's my daily driver. I am wondering if I need to find a weather resistant case to mount the relay board in to protect it from water.
I'd hate to be driving during a torrential downpour in rush hour and have it short and go dead.
Any advice or tips will be appreciated.

If it can't be mounted where it won't get wet it will need protecting. Look at where the car maker mounts such things (maybe on a later model) and use the same place if possible. Perhaps close to the ECU.

So to be safe, I should mount the relay board in the car and make a harness to connect to it. Or find a factory relay box that is pretty much sealed up. I think it would need to have a hole or two in the bottom to let water drain out if it somehow gets in. But I guess it would be a cleaner look if the wire harness ran inside the car to the relay board.
