MS on 2stroke 125cc MX machine?

Post by eMTea »

Hi!

Is it possible to control both fuel and ignition on an 2stroke 125cc suzuki RM125 motor?
It's fixed in a gokart, and I'm playing with the tought of adding a small turbo on it :)

The short answer is, "Yes it is possible." The long answer involves a lot of details, such as selection of TB, injector, pump, code variant, controller, and and and... Good luck!

Yes, I understand that, and ECU + TB's and stuff I'm ready to calculate and arrange.

But I was worried about the ignition part of it all.
Is the stator assembly accurate enough for ignition input to the ECU? Or do i need to machine a triggerwheel and buy a new sensor?

Well, it's accurate enough for the OEM ignitor...

Is the stock system CDI or TCI? You may have to do some thinking on your coil and cap as well.

What does your rotor look like? How many teeth, etc?
