The factory wiring is supposed to be supplying 12 volts to the coil; you'll need to repair it.

This is one of those days, that makes me wonder. I forgot to hook up the battery. wire. thanks matt, anyway it is supposed to be wired up to the TDC sensor? I was just wondering cause it only has one trigger. and the CKP has 12 windows i think

The sensor is a VR sensor and not powered.

I had spark for a til Friday night. I did not have fuel, it only fired on the first try after the 2 sec. prime. Sunday went to yard and picked up another 8 pin hei module with coil. I hooked it up and had spark again. I had the first one mounted to the fender well. Must have over heated, cause it was hot when i took it off. I mounted the second one to a big aluminum heat sink I took out of a monitor(i put thermal compound on) So I had spark but wasn't getting fuel, after doing some reading again i finally figured out, i had tps hooked up wrong. pulled tps off, check with meter, and sure so Ground was correct, 5v and ref were backwards, swapped wires, recal tps, and right away i knew it was better. But it wouldn't fire. i thought i had flooded it out. Monday monring i gave it another shot-nothing. Checked for spark, but nothing. I took my modules to az, and had them tested. Sure enough the first one was bad and the second was still good. so i bought another for back up. I checked the coils i have been using and they are good. I even put two on a test car to verify. Now i was stumped. Pulled out MS bored and looked it over, nothing looks wrong, nothing looks burnt, no burn smell, no bad breaks in board that can see. Today I erased firmware, and installed firmware again. Still no spark. Anyhelp is apprec. Can i do some testing with the jimstim or something.

Could you post your MSQ file? I'd like to have a look at your settings.

Those settings should work. Try disconnecting the bypass (B) pin on the HEI module. Do you get spark then?

since i am by myself right now, i used my meter to see signal. my meter does register spark signal when i do that. but it still doesn't start. is that cause the module doesn't get 12v now?

I would get the fuel situation fixed if you get spark with the B pin disconnected, then put the B pin back up and get the spark set up. Exactly what input mods are you using for HEI?

I have the fuel taken care of. I forgot were i read it, but i saw somewere. When the adc count goes over like 178 the motor doesn't get any fuel. My numbers were mad high like 669 and 990. I found a post or something were, it tells you how to test your tps. I think you wrote that part. When i fixed it, i can smell gas now, and my numbers are better. I dont understand this, (Exactly what input mods are you using for HEI) but i will give it a try. I only have the MK-hei kit in my MS, and have it hooked up as this.

8 pin hei
p=green: goes to green wire for TDC
n=white: goes to red wire for TDC
g=black w/red: grounded to inner fender well
b=brown w/black: goes to relay pin 87
r=purple w/white: goes to pin 36
e=white: goes to white of pin 24
c+ this goes to the gm coil with the factory harness
c- same as above\
what do you mean by put the B pin back up?

pin E and pin R are backwards. on the coil there is the other connector, battery and tach, i have the battery hooked up to the battery directly(this will be hooked up to the ignition then)

i found a problem, its my fault. I hooked the relay up to power, while cranking. So i need to look for another wire.
