What should I get please.

First up, I have searched for and can't find any info on this subject, so here goes. The application is 150 cubic inch harley dragbike, opcon 2087 supercharger running on alcohol. What I am asking for is a shopping list for starters and then Im sure more questions will follow. This is injection control only, an MSD MC4 is running the ignition. I will be able to setup a crank wheel sensor and virtually any other sensor needed to do this properly so I would really appreciate a detailed list of what's needed from scratch. If theres anyone out there who has all the answers and wants an email address let me know. Thanks in advance.

I'd probably use a MicroSquirt. Along with the MicroSquirt, you'll need MAP, air, and coolant temperature sensors. Since this is air cooled (unless you made a drag bike out of a V-Rod?), you can put the coolant temperature sensor in the oil pan or thread it into the cylinder head. You'll also want a wideband system to tune it, although it doesn't have to be on there full time.

Thanks for the reply Matt, the previous motor was mechanical in jection and my knowledge of EFI is zero so I will ask if you could be specific.

1: Is there a particular model or version of the microsquirt.

2: The sensors, brand and model.

3: Wideband, again a suitable brand and model.

Last of all, should I be moving this thread to microsquirt forum.

There is the MicroSquirt itself and a second item called the MicroSquirt Module. The MicroSquirt is the regular ECU one and the one to use; the module is meant for a core for building your own circuit boards. The MicroSquirt does get periodic revisions, but there's only one MicroSquirt available at a time.
2: The sensors, brand and model.
MicroSquirt can work with a lot of different sensors. The standard ones are GM - see this link for details.

MicroSquirt can work with most aftermarket controllers. The new "powersport" edition of the Innovate MTX-L may be a good choice here - it's inexpensive, and very small, which is handy when space is at a premium.
Last of all, should I be moving this thread to microsquirt forum.
Wouldn't be a bad idea.

Matt, Many thanks. The shopping list has started. Since your first reply I have read a lot about the Microsquirt and its capabilities. I will sell the MSD ignition as the MS will aparently handle all I need. Thanks again and I will move to the other forum as there seems to be a lot of posting from bike related installs.
