Mounting the MS

Where is a good place to mount the MS? I think I have read that you want to keep the wires as short as possible from the MS to the engine. I have read people put them inside under the dash. I don't have any room under the dash in my Grand Cherokee. I was thinking of putting it under the rear seat, but I am concerned how long the wires are going to be. Any opinions?

Most vehicles are made for LHD and RHD, so have space on the passenger side where the pedals would go. A false bulkhead there gives a good place to fit the MS and any related bits behind. It also keeps cable runs to a minimum.
