How can I tell if I have the BIP373

I purchased a megasquirt-2 MS2357-c PCBv3.57, firmware v2.890 DIY AT rev A from a private seller on Ebay. How can I tell if I have the BIP373 or the VB921 high current coil driver installed. I am looking at driving one coil straight from the MS box.

Being new to this, I do not know how to attach a pic.

Click the 'Upload attachment' tab just below the reply window and browse for the pic. Once you select the pic click the 'Add the file' button.

It would appear from your picture that there is no BIP373 Installed. The BIP373 is generally mounted on the heat sink at Q16 (upper right corner).
The good news is......
DIYAutoTune carries them, plus they have a good article on line on how to install them.
Hope that helps.......

Thats what I thought....rats. I also understand that is where the VB921 is to be mounted. Hense, I do not have a direct ignition coil driver....
I guess I will have to do some more reading to figure out how to control the ignition. Either install the VB921 / BIP373 or some external driver.

If you install the BIP373 it will be in lieu of the VB921 as your high current ignition driver.
