here we go again, another thorn in my side,
Mazda BP 1.8L turbo
MS2 on a v3 board
using a MSD 6A and SS blaster coil, factory hall sensor in dist.

ok.. finally got everything wired up after a few hicups, ignition on, crank the motor, crank, crank crank, then will seize and spin backwards.... very bad... have got all the settings in tuner studio as described in Megamanual, and have tried to play around with the ignition timing (spinning the dizzy), nothing...

it did start once but only for about 5 seconds, ran very poorly (missing / spluttering) so i killed it

if anymore info is req. let me know

Yes, it would help if you post your MSQ and a data log of an attempted start.

Try changing spark output to going high / inverted and adjust the trigger angle until you get 10 degrees BTDC on cranking again.

ok, will give that a go, and report results
also, with the crank trigger and input capture... what should it be set to? i am using a hall effect sensor with a 5volt pullup installed
