New to VE table generation

Post by splatranger95 »

Ok guys, Im sorry if this seems like a noob question, but I dont know where to start getting my engine started.

Im running MSII code vs 2.891. I got my 85 1.6L SOHC escort motor to fire and run for about a minute on the VE table in the source code. It ran so rich that it died and after cranking shortly, the engine hydrolocked. I cleared the cylinders, and it cranks freely now. I generated a new VE table and now it seems as if It is not doing anything. I dont even get a stutter. I tried to fool around with cranking pulsewidth% but that seems to be in millisec now, and it doesnt seem like it should be. Everything on the web is in %.

Anyway, Im kind of lost, and I would be happy if I could get some direction. I am pretty new to tuning and I am happy and willing to learn all I can. Thank you in advance.

Are you sure you haven't fouled the plugs?

I cleaned them, but I should just replace them to be sure. They were pretty nasty. I feel like my VE table was close if not right, so I should have gotten it to at least idle so I could know what to change.
