advice to start MS

Post by dariosplit »

Hello all.
Moving into a new project. I have an old Volvo AQ170 marine engine, 180HP 3L, with three classic Weber carburetor. The idea is to build three single-point IAW Weber Marelli injection 8SPI) of the Fiat Punto MK I that my country is the common and inexpensive.
Ignition I already installed megajolt.

If you can recommend to select the elements to start the project.
Means would have three injectors with 6 cylinder engine. Of course it should fit and Trott potentiometer, idle control stepper motor

regards

Sorry for english google.

This could be done easily enough with an MS2, although idle control will be easier if you have a connection between all throttles and just run one IAC valve.

I studied the FAQ. I do not know how to work only with one stepper. But I see no reason to not connect three stepper parallel. I just checked the power driver in MegaSquirt.
Can the system work without the lambda because I have nowhere to put it.

The current draw may be too much; the driver is rated for only 1 amp.

Yes, the MS can run perfectly well without lambda - TUNING it without lambda, though, is pretty tough.
