Wankels

I have a couple of Sachs 303 single rotor Wankels I'd like to experiment on with turbo charging & fuel injection, just wondering if Megasquirt will work with a Wankel? It didn't seem to be covered in the FAQ.

I don't believe the standard B&G code will work for rotary engines (I will cheerfully stand corrected if wring). The MS Extra Code does work, and there are several RX7 and RX8 engines running MS controllers. This firmware is sufficiently different that it has its own forum for discussion; click the 'MSextra' link at the top of this page.

If this Wankel has just one spark plug, it can be tuned just like it's a two stroke piston engine with B&G firmware.

If it has two spark plugs on its rotor, it would need the Extra code to handle leading / trailing split.

Just the one, all the Sachs, NSU, Comotor etc Wankels did, As far as I know Suzuki & Mazda were the first ones to use twin spark on them, The Norton Wankels & the Evinrude ones might not even have had twin spark.
