Advise - Scrap or Repair Megasquirt I

My friend gave me a Megasquirt I v2.2, at least that's what I've discerned from my research. He bought it not working and never messed with it.
My synopsis:
-After looking around on the board I noticed the burnt trace under the MOSFETs. The MOSFETs weren't screwed to the case so they were probably getting pretty toasty, which I'm guessing might be the reason for the failure.
-There are several snipped diodes and resisters, not sure why this was done.
-Several jumpers running around the board, again, not sure why that was done.
Album of the board - https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=E ... =folder%2c
So my main question should I try to salvage this thing or just start fresh? I'm not really feeling too solid on this board. I'm planning on using it to replace the Perfect Power SMT-6 on my Tiburon. It's my daily driver in the summertime so I need it to remain very reliable.
