I have been using the new warmup analyzer with great success. One controller will bluetooth and never go offline. The other will run for a few minutes and then drop and reconnect. It seems to be random timing. sometimes it lasts a couple of minutes and others it drops in less than 30 seconds ...

What OS and TS version are you using?

In new project it will let you type.

So I was successful in going into the Megasquirt folder and renaming the file to my preferred name. Then used "open project" to open the project. Thanks for that info!

I have not tried yet to start a new project but will soon, Swear it lets you start typing in a name and then bumps back to the ...

This is using a rs232 serial cable and the downloader with the latest code files saved in the downloads folder. Also tried other locations for these files like in the firmware folder in Megasquirt folder with the same result.

MSII with 2.905 in a 280zx turbo newly converted to EDIS.

Although not very definitive the edis does produce a voltage of about 3.5 before cranking and them drops off on the DMM.
There is tach signal now and it fires.

There is no signal produced when the distributor is tested per your instructions.
EDIS went on last night but still not seeing a tach signal? it started momentarily so the EDISitself must be working, right.
Going to replace the tach wire tonight?
Does EDIS send the same type of signal for testing ...

Maybe it is because the project is open? I'll pay closer attention when starting a new project tonight.

Yes there is rpm with the stim.

The tach input is at pin 24 and the -coil is at pin 36. Always has been.

I only have the stim, no O-scope...

This is a 1983 turbo motor that was running MS1Extra from the stock distributor with an internal CAS(I think) and a VB921 running the single coil.

Repaired the stim and tested the controller. There is rpm adjustable with both pots and all of the rest are working also.

So this seems to conclude that the controller is good. Still wondering why there is no advance showing in TS?
