Re: Where to buy weatherproof electrical connectors?

If you really want the Mil-Spec plugs, go with Cannon Mil-Std-38999 plugs. They come in pretty much ANY size and configuration you can imagine: http://www.ittcannon.com/uploadedfiles/product_pdfs/mildtl-38999-fullcatalog.pdf http://www.ittcannon.com/product.aspx?id=1122 You can get selected sizes an...

Re: MAF problems

Do you know if the problem with MegaTune is simply a code update vs. Tuner-Studio, or is it a more serious problem why MT won't use the new version?

Re: Using MS as a FADEC for a Gas Turbine Engine?

Instead of using up the CPU for the 150K RPM effort, maybe you could construct a simple little Op-amp circuit or 555 chip timer/counter. That way you could have the circuit count 10 or 50 or 100 or whatever cycles then send 1 output to MS. That way MS would have time to do it's normal magic. :yeah!:...

Re: Fuel for best starting hot

This has always been an challenging issue, both with carbs and FI. GM had even went so far as to put a "hot-soak" bypass valve on their carbs back in the 70s-80s. It was a thermal bimetal spring valve on the lower rear body that would open due to the heat soaked air up by the air cleaner (...

Dual Plug on 6 cylinder? If you need 12 plugs, you might try using the COP that's on the new Dodge 5.7 Hemi's. The new engine has dual plugs per cylinder (it took me over three hours to change the plugs...) They have one COP driving two plugs each, like a wasted spark idea. The signal goes to the c...

Tuners: There is a way we all can get around "sluggish probes" and predict what the instantaneous actual EGT is (or CHT or CLN etc.) The method is used on dynos but is a very simple formula if you're willing to do a little testing up front. For every brand of sensor and for each setup (1&q...
