Up and working - PalmLog on Palm Vx, brilliant!

Since I'm too poor to afford an LCDash or even a set of proper gauges, I got on eBay and won three Palm pc's (two Vx and one IIIc) for a total of £25 including the postage - bargain!

I'm dead chuffed





Just need to work out a way to charge the Palm in the car for longer outings and make a dash-mount for it, preferably a water-proof one

Hi, i have a Palm Vx with OS 3.5.3. I use the palm with the computer trough HotSync with no problem.
I have made a male-male DB-9 null-modem adapter to connect my serial cradle to the MS (msefi-extra 029y4 code) and i can´t connect with the MS. All looks good but no connection... Any advice??

I've resently built the circuit myself, and it seems to work fine! Just be sure to measure the actual voltage it puts out, do not just use the resistorvalues he has chosen. Most resistors have 10% tolerances, and that can cause rather large differences in the output voltage of the circuit

I have the same problem...I have palm Vx with os3.5.3 or 3.5.0 and comunicate via Hotsync without any problem,I made the noll-modem pin 2to3 and 3to 2...but connection failure with MS( msefi-extra 029y4) Where is the catch? How you solve the problem?

I find the problem--bad contact inside the DB9. interestig only TX was irratic?!

You also need to disconnect the 110v /220v power to the Palm pilot before it will connect.
