Automatic Mixture Control with Turbo at WOT

Post by MikeLi »

Question for all the knows about Automatic Mixture Control. My questions is does it work when I'm at WOT and a turbo motor? I know that at 100% TPS I don't get any EGO correction. So with out the EGO correction does Automatic Mixure Control work to adjust the VE tables?

No it would be impossible - how would the processor know what to do if it doesn't know whether the mix is rich or lean ?
It is really not a good idea to use AMC at WOT because the response times of the ego sensors are too slow. You will not get consistent results.

You are better off useing the megalog viewer for WOT tuning. Just set your target A/F table a little extra rich in the disired boost sections and log a couple pulls. Then let MLV tune and adjust. After a couple repeats, it will be pretty close and you can go back and fine tune it.

Mikeli,
You may also try looking at this thread: viewtopic.php?f=38&t=11981
The spreadsheet may be able to help you "predict" the EGO without having to wait for it to respond...
Go easy on it though.
