Hi all - I'm not really new to MS but I am new to using it for ignition.
I have a v3.57board /MS-II setup running 2.888 code. It's been running fine for several months in fuel-only mode, triggering off -ive coil term. Now i've switched over to EDIS-4 using standard Ford pieces but i'm not getting any apparent tach signal into MS.
No jumpers were changed on MS: JP1 is still 2-3, and J1 is 1-2. So far i've checked the Edis pin 7 to ground, pin 8 +12v, pin 2 on coil +12v, and PIP connection all the way back to pin 24. According to my digital meter, the VR sensor is putting out just under 1V while cranking.
Trying to decide where to focus next...any suggestions appreciated.

Nope, no spark that I can see. 
From my reading here, it seems the EDIS modules are considered nearly indestructable...

are you sparkplug wrires EDIS & plugs - or generic?? EDIS won't spark if the resistance of the plugs+wires is wrong.

Also, check to be sure you don't have the VR sensor wired backwards.

Thanks Matt - apparently flipping the VR wires restored the signal, although I could have sworn that a) I had them right, and b) I had tried swapping them already 
MS can now see tach pulses and I have spark. Of course, it doesn't seem to want to start, but at least this is progress.
To answer the other question, this is an all-Ford EDIS kit (in fact I think it came from Matt!) except the plugs which are standard NGK BPR6s.
I must be losing my touch...the first two MS setups I installed fired and ran on the first attempt...
