Toyota 6 wire IAC not working

Post by wagon »

Hello!

We are trying to get the 6 wire IAC on a Toyota 1uz (v8) working. We have tried various settings, wire combinations and whatnot and the most we get is the motor itself 'buzzes' on startup.

Has anyone else successfully gotten one of these motors to work? Any clues - wiring or configuration wise?

We are using a V3.0 pcb with MS2.

Thanks!

I think Im in the same boat with the 5 wire 2jz stepper.
The toyota steppers are the Variable reluctance (vernier) variety. as shown here: http://www.cs.uiowa.edu/~jones/step/typesf/1anim.html

I too am working on how to drive it using the MS2. If I figure out anything I will pass it along.

We ended up ditching it and going with a 'Ford' pwm IAC. Works OK, and easier in the end.
