Post by 357supermagnum »

Hello, does anyone have any charts on a 383-350 cid V8 engine (stock intake, exhaust system, stock valve heads),with a carb versus a TBI install ?

Yes, we've got a couple dyno charts from our Nova project.

1. Swap carb for TBI, distributor with performance recurve kit controlling ignition:

2. Have the ECU take control of the ignition:

Nice, you mentioned that the TBI unit had a little too low flow.
What kind of improvements would a 1000CFM unit do ?

We actually tried a 4 barrel Holley Pro-Jection throttle body later and were a bit surprised - it didn't make any improvement. We think it may have been a case of "right mod, wrong engine."
