Megasquirt for a dual TBI set up?

Post by Lobucrod »

I'm new to this forum. I found it be searching for info on building a dual tbi setup. A search on this forum brought up mention of it but no real info.
What I have is a 401 Nailhead in a '50 Chevy sedan delivery. I currently have a factory two four setup on it. I have heard of a Riviera running a dual TBI setup somewhere in the DFW area but have not been able to find out who it belongs to. I would like to try this on my nailhead. I want to be able to use the distrubutor i have which is a stock point unit that I have converted over to HEI with a mopar reluctor and pickup coil and a GM module mounted externally. What I want to know is if a Megasquirt controller will operate two throttle bodies and work with the ignition i am using? Any info or links to some answers will be helpfull.

I don't have any links, but this is certainly doable. From a wiring standpoint, two throttle bodies with two injectors each is no different from one throttle body with two injectors.

I have dual gm 5.7 tbi on 454 chev with an msd dist which has I think a ford reluctor and I am using an external gm 8 pin module controlling timing. At this time the engine has only been run on the run stand and won't go into my rod until spring but to answer your question, it is very doable.
