native USB yet?

Post by tmoble »

Is there a DIY version with native USB connectivity available? My last laptop with a serial port died, having issues with the serial to USB dongle thingy working right with my Dell.

Does the search usually work? It's giving me an error, telling me to try again later. doesn't give any hint on how much later.

The MS3 has USB.

Or else an adapter is cheap :)

Any of the "native" USB implementations are pretty much stuffing a variant of a USB to serial dongle in the ECU case.

There is a time delay between successive searches to prevent overload of the servers but it will also limit searches if the system is running near capacity.

If you're still having problems with the search, post in the "How Do I" forum with some details on what error and what the circumstances are and we'll work to troubleshoot that with you separately.
