Which coil is best for direct coil drive wasted spark?
I hate the spark plug wire connector towers on the EDIS system, so something like the mitsubishi / dodge coil pack shown here looks nice: http://www.msdignition.com/Products/Coi ... 96-on.aspx
Are there any other good, compact systems? Having four single-coils would take up too much space.
Or I could stay with the EDIS. I hear the Accel coils are nice? Is there a simple way to make custom length plug wires?

Can I ask what you don't like about the EDIS plug lead connectors? Is it just looks - they work very well indeed.TheShagg wrote:I presently have an EDIS-8 system, but I am investigating direct fire.

I would like to do custom length wires, and have more selection. Some of the explorer wires I got are just tooo long in places.trakkies wrote:Can I ask what you don't like about the EDIS plug lead connectors? Is it just looks - they work very well indeed.
Beyond that they seem OK. I just hate going off the beaten path of standard interfaces.

It's not difficult to make up your own leads for EDIS. You can buy the coil plugs (and spark plug ones) new - or re-use ones from a scrap yard. That's what I did.TheShagg wrote:I would like to do custom length wires, and have more selection.
